A caring and passionate atmosphere that promotes growth, progress and self-confidence!

For adults and teenagers from 15 years old, all our class classes focus on the pleasure of dancing, the fluidity of movement, the improvement of posture and self-confidence.

Participants come with different objectives: physical and artistic practice, improving their skills, loosening up, finding a balance with work, expressing themselves, making friends...

                

All class are open to all, without reservation. Subscriptions, cards, class .

Outfit

Dance classical ballet

  •  All outfits must be solid color with no printed designs.
     
  • Women : academic or tights and leotard, ½ pointe or pointe shoes, bun, plain short skirt.
    No underwear: favor leotards reinforced at the upper bust; only if necessary, sports bra.
    No or light make-up. No jewelry (watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants).
  • Men : academic or gray or black tights, white leotard, ½ point slippers to match tights. Long hair tied back.
    Boys' underwear: kit/dance belt (Bloch brand, thick), mandatory for all class, rehearsals, shows.

Contemporary dance + contemporary floor barre and classical ballet

  • Women : academic or footless tights, leotard, bun.
    No underwear: favor leotards reinforced at the top of the bust; only if necessary, sports bra.
    No make-up, or light make-up. No jewelry (watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants).
  • Men: academic or footless tights, leotard. Long hair tied back.
    Underwear: pencil case/dance belt (Bloch or WearMoi brand, thick), mandatory for all class, rehearsals, shows.
  •  All outfits must be plain, with no printed designs.

Warm-up clothes

  • All warm-up clothes (woolen tights, jacket, cross-over, etc.) must be tight-fitting, close to the body (no tracksuits allowed).
  • Please start the class in a suitable outfit that allows corrections: tights, leotard, academic, slippers.
  • warm clothes between the class are imperative to keep your muscles warm and continue to develop your flexibility.

Practical information

Separate men's and women's changing rooms and toilets:
- women's changing room: bottom right of staircase
- men's changing room: top of staircase.

You can leave all your belongings in the changing rooms, so the studios don't get crowded.

Do I need to give notice of absence?

YES if the participant is a minor, please notify the teacher directly on the class whatsapp group.

NO if the participant is over 18. If you can't come on the scheduled day, you can choose another day or time to replace it, as long as it's roughly the same level.

> All persons entering the premises (participants, children, parents) are asked to remove their shoes at the entrance and to leave their shoes, coat or umbrella where indicated.

> We recommend that you leave your bag in the checkroom, so as not to take anything into the dance studio.

The lost and found cupboard is located in the vaulted reception room.

Courses are scheduled during all school vacations.

2023-2024 - What are your closing days and holidays?

Outside of school vacations, PMDS is open every day from Monday to Sunday.

PMDS is closed:

- December 25, January 1, Easter (Sunday and Monday)

- May 1st and 8th (in 2024)

- Ascension Day (Thursday to Sunday inclusive)

- month of August

- public holidays that fall on a Monday or Friday.

School vacations :

Regular annual class courses do not take place during zone C school vacations
Courses are scheduled for all vacations.

2023-2024 - When do class end and resume during school breaks?

What to wear for a first class (children and adults)?

A t-shirt, leggings, socks.

- dance classical ballet : preferably ballet shoes.

- contemporary dance, floor barre: barefoot.

You can then purchase an outfit that is more in line with regular practice, listed on the Outfits page.

Do I need a medical certificate?

‍Forchildren and teenagers, a medical certificate is required every year for annual registration, even in class year. The medical certificate must be provided within one month of online registration.
For courses, the certificate is not required.

For adults, no medical certificate is required.

Whatever the class and the age of the participant, the teacher can ask for a medical certificate if he/she considers it useful.

How to find your level?

If you are a complete beginner or an experienced person, the question does not arise:

- beginner 1e class Initiation 1 year

- beginner : 2 to 4 years of practice after the age of 8

- confirmed / advanced : + 6 to 8 years of practice after the age of 8

If you have an intermediate level but haven't danced for a long time, no problem, you choose the level you want (beginner, intermediate or beginner/medium) and you will readjust if necessary.

classical ballet You can present yourself at the level you usually take. Then you will adjust if necessary.

Contemporary-Graham: It is imperative to start with the basic technique, and first of all, with class floor bar with Maggie Boogaart.
For the intermediate level: you must have done all the necessary preparation to be able to do the turns around the back (including "going to the elbow") and at least the first 3 developments of "back leg extension" and "exercise on six" (complete).
For the advanced level: by invitation of the teacher. You must be able to do the 6 developments of back leg extension, a pitch turn, and a tilt up in balance.

How can I subscribe to class ?

Subscriptions can only be taken online on this same site. From the button at the top of the page, choose the teacher, then Annual Activities.

How can I subscribe to several class ?

For the 1st class weekly, choose "1st class".

For the 2nd class weekly, use the button "add a class", then choose "2nd class". 60€ of discount will be deducted automatically.

For the 3rd class weekly, use the button "add a class", then choose "3rd class". 80€ of discount will be deducted automatically.

For the 4th class and following, use the button "add a class", then choose "4th class", then "5th class" .... 80€ of discount will be deducted automatically.

Can I pay in installments?

You can pay in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10 times for subscriptions.

You can pay in 1, 2, 3 or 4 times for the cards.

A schedule is provided during the registration process.

The withdrawals are made on successive months.

Is it true that you can pay up to 10 times?

It's true, you can pay up to 10 times for subscriptions taken out in September and October.
