Since 2012, Maggie Boogaart and Ghislain de Compreignac have supported several dance talents from disadvantaged backgrounds each year from their private budget, through a scholarship for professional training at Paris Marais Dance School.
Thanks to their support, these young people, who would not otherwise have had the opportunity to develop their talent as dancers, have embarked on professional careers with internationally renowned dance companies such as Ballet Rambert (UK), Ballet national de Marseille (FR), Europa Ballet (AT)... After their stage careers, they will be able to move on to lifelong careers as dance teachers, ballet masters and choreographers.
But other talents, selected at international competitions, were unable to seize this opportunity, as they could not finance their plane ticket or their stay in Paris.
To further this mission, L'Association des Amis de Paris Marais Dance School is seeking sponsors to fund scholarships for the Paris Marais Dance School's professional training program, including stays in Paris and audition trips for dance companies. These scholarships are intended for talented young people aged 16 to 23 of all nationalities who would not be able to succeed without financial support. The cost of studies is €9,000 per year, and the cost of a stay in Paris for a scholarship holder without family support is around €15,000 per year. Full support for a young talent for one year is €24,000.
