Outfit

  •  All outfits must be solid colored, without printed patterns.
     
  • Women: leotard or tights and leotard, pointes shoes pointes pointes, bun, plain short skirt.
    No underwear: leotards with reinforced upper bust areas are preferred; sports bras may be worn only if necessary.
    No makeup, or very light makeup. No jewelry (watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants).
  • Men: academic or gray or black tights, white leotard, pointes shoes pointes the tights. Long hair tied back.
    Boys' underwear: dance belt (Bloch brand, thick), mandatory for all classes, rehearsals, and performances.

Contemporary dance + floor barre and classical floor barre

  • Women: unitard or footless tights, leotard, bun.
    No underwear: opt for leotards with reinforced upper bust area; only if necessary, a sports bra.
    No makeup, or light makeup. No jewelry (watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants).
  • Men: academic or footless tights, leotards. Long hair tied back.
    Underwear: dance belt (Bloch or WearMoi brand, thick), mandatory for all classes, rehearsals, and performances.

Warm-up Outfits

  • All warm-up clothing (wool tights, jacket, wrap top, etc.) must be form-fitting, close to the body (tracksuits not permitted).
  • Please start classes Outfit that allows for corrections: tights, leotards, academic wear, and slippers.
  • Warm clothing between classes essential to keep your muscles warm and continue developing your flexibility.

Practical information

Please remove your shoes upon entering.

Shelves are available near the staircase for storing your shoes.

Separate changing rooms and restrooms for women and men:
- changing room : at the bottom right of the stairs
- changing room : on the ground floor, on the right as you enter.

You can leave all your belongings in the changing rooms, so there's no need to clutter up the studios. Your belongings are safe there.

A subscription is the recommended option, as it encourages regularity and progress.
This is a year-long enrollment in classes same classes, with fixed days and times.
Subscriptions are for the period from September to June, according to the school calendar, and in classes until the end of June.
It is possible to make up for a classes with another classes.

Children and Teens:
> Only on annual subscription.

Adults:
3 possible formulas:

> Membership (recommended): priority access to classes, permanent or occasional discounts. The most economical option.
> Cards for 5, 10, or 20 classes, valid for 4 months on all classes and all disciplines. The most flexible option.

20% discount is offered to intermittent workers, job seekers, parents of families with four or more children, and families with two members enrolled in our classes.

Registration fee: €45.
Required once per year for all subscriptions, cards, or intensive workshop 10% discount in dance stores in Paris).
Includes membership in the Association des amis de Paris Marais Dance School (€10).

‍Minors
-18 years; compulsory, every year, to be submitted before the end of September. Not required when registering online.
Adults: no medical certificate, or on request from the instructor.

2025-2026 - When are the INTERNSHIPS?

Intensive workshops are scheduled during all school holidays.

Should we notify in case of absence?

YES, if the participant is a minor, it is advisable to notify the classes WhatsApp group classes this way, the teacher will be informed directly.

NO if the participant is an adult. If you cannot attend on the scheduled day, you may choose another day or time to replace it, provided it is approximately the same level.

In practice:

> Everyone entering the premises (participants, children, parents) is asked to remove their shoes at the entrance and place them in the designated area, along with their coat or umbrella.

> It is recommended that you leave your bag in the changing room so that you don't have to take anything with you into the dance studio.

2025-2026 - What are your closing days and public holidays?

Outside of school holidays, PMDS is open every day, from Monday to Sunday.

PMDS is closed:

- All public holidays, except during training courses and except November 11 and May 8.

-       Ascension Day long weekend (Thursday to Sunday inclusive).

PMDS is open:

- November 11 and May 8

School holidays:

classes annual classes do not take place during school holidays in Zone C.

classes are held at 7:30 p.m. during the first week of school vacations, except at Christmas.
Five-day courses from Monday to Friday are scheduled during all vacations.

What Outfit for a first classes children and adults)?

A t-shirt, leggings, socks.

Is a medical certificate required?

For children and teenagers, a medical certificate is required each year for annual registration, even for classes . The medical certificate must be provided within one month of online registration.
For workshops, the certificate is not required.

For adults, a medical certificate is not required.

Regardless of the participant's classes age, the instructor may request a medical certificate if he or she deems it necessary.

How to determine your level?

If you are a complete beginner or advanced, there is no question:

- Beginner 1st classes 1 year

-       beginner : 2 to 4 years of practice after the age of 8

-       confirmed / advanced : + 6 to 8 years of practice after the age of 8

If you have an intermediate level but haven't danced for a long time, no problem, you choose the level you want (beginner, intermediate or beginner/medium) and readjust if necessary.

Classical: You can attend the level you usually take. Then you can adjust if necessary.

Contemporary-Graham:It is imperative to start with the fundamental technique, and first and foremost, with floor barre classes floor barre Maggie Boogaart.
For intermediate level: you must have done all the necessary preparation to be able to do turns around the back (including "going to the elbow") and at least the first three developments of "back leg extension" and "exercise on six" (complete).
For advanced level: by invitation from the teacher. You must know how to do the six developments of "back leg extension," a pitch turn, and a "tilt" raised in balance.

How can I sign up for a classes

Subscriptions can only be purchased online on this website. From the button at the top of the page, choose the teacher, then Annual Activities.

How do I sign up for multiple classes

For the first classes , select "First classes."

For the second classes , use the "add a classes" button, then select "second classes." A €60 discount will be automatically deducted.

For the third classes , use the "add a classes" button, then select "third classes." A €80 discount will be automatically deducted.

For 4th classes above, use the "add a classes" button, then select "4th classes," then "5th classes," etc. An €80 discount will be automatically deducted.

Can I pay in installments?

You can pay in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 10 installments for subscriptions.

You can pay in 1, 2, 3, or 4 installments for class passes.

A payment schedule is offered during the registration process.

Payments are made over successive months.

Is it true that one can pay in up to 10 installments?

That's right, you can pay in up to 10 installments for subscriptions purchased in September and October.
